 Hi, my name is Andy. This is my website. If we've never met, the picture to the left is me. In case you're wondering, the image is of me walking out of this neat door-shaped cutout on a hedge beside the Louvre. That's a museum in Paris. The Mona Lisa hangs there behind a thick panel of glass and many angry security guards.
I had a much more interesting and informative introduction planned, but that happened instead. And then some alliteration happened.
I do a little of a lot, and a lot of only a little. I do a lot of photography. I'm currently working on my MFA at Louisiana Tech University. I have a BA in psychology. I like to write in my free time and make videos during the time in-between. This website is a big representation of all that.
In the photography section, I've uploaded what I've worked on since beginning graduate school. The most recent work is called "Beta." There's a lot other work, too. Have a seat and take a gander. If there's a show nearby where it can be found, see it in person.
I like to write prose, so there's a fair amount of that on here that spans back to the late 90's or so. I've written and performed a few plays, so they're online in case you want to recreate them. I don't really care for poetry, but I've done one or three in my life so I uploaded them for kicks. Also during the course of an education, I've written a decent amount of essays and they'd die of binary rot if I didn't do something else with them, so they're online too.
I don't get to do it often, but I also enjoy working with video. Some of it is narrative-based, while others are just odd. There's a half-hour short film online that I made while a psychology student. It's broken up into nine segments for easy consumption, but I'm only proud of a few of those segments now. Watch all of them because I won't say which ones.
Two out of the three quarters of a Tech school-year, I teach. Digital photography and 2-D design are the classes. I've put a few examples of my students' work online. I can only take so much credit for really good work. They're really good students. I tend to gauge my teaching by what the median quality is.
If you're someone wanting to write me an annual paycheck, my resume is here for your analyzing. Resume polishing is an OCD quirk of mine I do when sitting still and there's nothing immediate to work on. In a way, that's also how this website came about.
