Art 115: Basic Design

I utilized various approaches to also introduce students to tools and materials that they can utilize, such as construction paper or Photoshop. I stressed creative thought as one of the key ingredients to good design, and let the design come from the idea instead of the other way around. I experimented to varying levels of success with various ways to apply design. Projects ranged from InDesign dots and construction paper lines, to Photoshop head modifications, twelve frame stop motion sequences, and writing song lyrics to accompany the fictional band cd booklets.
